Luke Chapter 1 Devotional

Challenge: read all of Luke 1

Luke chapter 1 Devotional

All scripture is valuable and profitable for study (2 Tim. 3:16). I suggest as you read it, this advent season, consider the God seekers before you… the ones that God used to preserve His TRUTH, and the ways and means that he provided for His Word to be handed to US. How blessed we are to have the opportunity to study, learn, and freely be encouraged, and what what amazing encouragement He provided!

Consider Luke 1:12-15:

12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.

Is there something that YOU have been praying for? Would you be like Zacharias and seek to serve God (Luke 1:6) blamelessly and faithfully? It is entirely possible that you would get wonderful news like Zacharias did.

May we be about our business serving God whole-heartedly, and always remember that with God, all things are possible (Matt. 19:26), even that God would know us before we were born (Ps. 139:13), and that he would have good things planned for us (Jer. 29:11).

REJOICE that good news has come, and is loaded in our Bible!

More of the series is on the way! Be sure to come back, or subscribe, AND consider delighting us with a comment. We would love to hear from you. Blessings in Christ,

  1. “For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.” This verse is so encouraging as it’s proof that a divine plan and a purpose is formed before we are born. How great is that! How encouraging to know how loved we are. What a gift that is. Bless you my friend xx
