Join Us in Making JESUS the Lord of your Life

We at the Telling Hearts blog, are a sisterhood of believers, followers, devotees to Jesus Christ, the Son of the only one true, living, amazing, almighty God.  We invite you to join our sisterhood, by making Jesus the Lord of you life if you have not already.

Romans 10_13For whosoever calls upon

You may ask us any question.  We invite you to explore every verse, with a heart open to the truth from our Abba Father God, the creator of all, a very present help in times of trouble.

Psalms 46_1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble

We will tell you right now, that understanding all that our Father and Lord has shared, is not easy.  It is our lifelong pursuit, joy and pleasure.   You are invited to join the journey with us.  Here is a good place to start.

Understand the need and the gift, or plan by God and Jesus Christ for salvation, that is to say, life in paradise, Heaven, when this life on earth is done.  We at Telling Hearts, believe that the Holy Bible, a collection of books actually, is the inspired word of God preserved over time for His good purposes, and our reference.

We believe that stories and information shared in the Bible are actually supported by science and history, and as a post script we will share some favorite resources that explain more on scientific and historical evidences, but for now:

SOME BIBLE BASICS

2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine…for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Romans 3:23– For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is Christ Jesus:  Whom God set forth for to be a propitiation through faith in His blood

Now that right there is pretty complicated, but it communicates our need in God’s judgement court (which the Bible teaches is going to happen for every man…).  All of humanity would fall short of Heavenly privileges in the next life, except or unless we are saved by grace through Christ.  God loved us enough to make a way:  JESUS.

According to specific prophesies, JESUS was born to a virgin, lived a life on earth in flesh like us.  He performed miracles to help and heal  , and ministered and taught in love, yet He was crucified on the cross.  Thus He shed His blood as payment for our sin, all according to prophesy.

Death did not win.  He rose from the grave alive on the third day, and ministered among the people again until he ascended to Heaven to sit at the right of His Father, our Father., and all of this (activity on Earth) is documented by witnesses.

Why if it was witnessed and documented, is there controversy, and why does everyone not know this truth as fact?  Put simply, because there is an invisible world, a spiritual world, and the enemy (Satan and his followers) do not wish for you to have this saving knowledge.

Ephesians 6_12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high plac

Still as we accept His blood as payment for our sin, we may have salvation, or eternity in paradise with Him, because God loved us enough to make this provision, and JESUS was willing and cooperative.

John 3:16-17–  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent NOT His Son into the world, to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be SAVED.

Romans 10:9-10–  That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Accept this gift, and strive to give Jesus and our Father headship or control of your life, decisions, and choices.  Do we have to be perfect?  NO.  No one will ever be.  That is why God extends mercy and grace.

Ephesians 3_17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith...

Do you want to invite Jesus to be Lord of your life?  Pray this with us.  It is our prayer always.

A Powerful Prayerfor salvation

Dear God, thank you for providing payment for my sins through JESUS.    Jesus, thank you!  I believe that you, Jesus, were born, and died on the cross according to prophecy to save us sinners and that you did rise, alive again.  I invite you, Jesus into my life as my Lord and savior, and into my heart.  By faith, I ask that you live in my heart, be my Lord and savior,  and may I live to learn, grow, and strive to live for YOU, your way.   In Jesus’s name I pray, AMEN

If you join us in this prayer for the first time, or over and over and over again, we would love to hear from you.  Leave us a reply.  We would delight to follow up and be your friend, your sister in Christ.

You are bound to have questions.  We ourselves are constantly having questions, researching, learning and growing.  We would be thrilled to share some of the journey with you.

What next, if you are new to this Christian adventure?  The Bible has the answers.  Fellowship with believers in Christ, by God’s design, will provide supportive fellowship on your learning, growing journey towards eternity in Heaven, and let us know if we may help you in any way, but most importantly, don’t forget:

Romans 10_9...that if thou confess with thou mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved

The Lord’s love and peace, be with you, and we pray that you pursue this relationship with your savior through prayer, study, and fellowship.

Jesus’s words Matthew 18:20 :

…where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
