Paper Hearts

Let me start by saying that I am so happy to have joined this group of writing sisters. I am glad because quite honestly I did not think I would have time to do this when Tammy first mentioned it to me. I told her my plate was filled to the brim and my own blog, Nuggets from the Heart, was needing my attention. Being her sweet, understanding, and patient self, Tammy smiled (yes I felt the warmth of her smile even through the internet) and told me there was no pressure.

Well, today she sent me a message with a link to “Telling Hearts.” Again no pressure but when I looked at the header graphic with the hearts I was drawn in. It was like a light went on and I knew I needed to share some things along with my contributing sisters. I still do not know how often I will add a nugget or two but I will sure do my best to be an encouragement.

Now back to the header photo. As I looked at the hearts made of the various colored strips of paper, this thought came to my mind. Each of those pieces of paper represents pieces of our lives, our stories. We all have a story to tell. God gave us our stories because he knew that someone, somewhere needed to hear our message. The things we go through, the trials, the storms, the difficult as well as the joyful seasons…they are all a piece of our story. Just like those strips of paper, each story is different. Unique just like each of us. And no matter how difficult our story may be to share at times, it is still beautiful because God alone brings something beautiful forth from it.

Each of those strips of paper has its own individual beauty…BUT…when you bring those strips together, just look how much more beautiful they become. Those single strips of paper created some lovely hearts at the crafty hands of Tammy’s artistic daughter. Our individual stories are beautiful, however, when God brings our stories together, imagine how much more beauty there is to see and share! He is, after all, the perfect Creator of beauty.

So to all of our readers who will visit this blog site, my prayer for you is this. I pray that when you read one of our posts, you will find something beautiful, inspiring and encouraging. I believe this is why God brought us together (both writers and readers) in the first place. So to all who visit us, be blessed and stay hopeful.

From my heart to yours,

Rosie (aka the Nuggets Writer)
